My favourite spot

Here is my favourite spot in the Lake District. I think you can see why.

Lake District 7 May

As the weather forecast was not too good today and the clouds were low, we decided to walk round Coniston Water for the first time. This is 14 miles. I had to be on the lead most of the way round because we were on a road or near sheep. Daddy said this has helped my training; I don't pull so much now!

Lake District November Day 6

On day 6, we were down to 3 humans and the clouds were down, so we did a local walk to Brockbarrow and Top O'Selside on the east side of Coniston Water. This is known as a geriatric Wainwright (like Beacon Fell), but there was plenty of scope to explore.

Lake Bank

Here is my favourite activity - jumping off the pier at Lake Bank, Coniston Water. I haven't yet plucked up courage to jump off the big one.

Buses

There is a strange phenomenon regarding flat-coated retrievers. You wait ages for one, then three come along at once! Just like buses! Here, I am playing with Sierra, my new friend from London who stayed with me in the Lakes. I also met Merlin for the first time there and the three of us had races on Coniston Water. Great fun.

Sierra & I always wanted to share the same stick or bottle as you can see in these clips below.

The Lake District is fabulous (part 1)

Daddy said I would enjoy it and I did! I have learned to swim and Daddy can't keep me out of the water. I climbed three peaks - Beacon Fell (twice), Brockbarrow and Lingmoor and I walked from Skelwith Bridge to Elterwater and back. I could have done a lot more but apparently this would be bad for my joints and bones at my age. (The only downside is the number of ticks I got - yuck!) I can't wait to go back again. As soon as I arrived home, I jumped into the pond!

Here are some pictures of my exploits.
