Lakes in November 2016

Another great trip to the Lakes with mixed weather. We had everything from snow to sun and fantastic walking on the fells most days. Generally it was very warm for the time of year. I have forgotten about my stiffness that I had when I went away. It must have been a recurrence of my back strain I have had before. These are the walks, most of which I have done before, but I did bag 2 new tarns - Caspel Gate Tarn and Small Water - on the Haweswater walk.

The Lakes and the Fellrangers completed in July 2016

Had another great fortnight dodging the showers. But who cares about getting wet? I don't. I swam in Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake and Loweswater on the way back from Carlisle (Daddy was shopping or something) - a long drive but worth it for the swimming.

After a couple of climbs up Beacon Fell, I also climbed my last 3 Fellrangers - Knockmurton, Bell Crags and Wallowbarrow.

Another wet fortnight in the Lakes January 2016

This fortnight was not as disappointing for me as it was for Daddy. I got to swim twice every day and walked up Beacon Fell and Brock Barrow. However, we did not manage any day walks in the mountains because it was so wet and windy due to storms Gertrude and Henry. We came home a day early to avoid storm Imogen.
