I can say please

I can now say please! Daddy has been trying to get a photo of me with my paw up to prove it, but no luck so far.

Found the waggon wash again and some new paths on the way to Rudgeway to see Auntie Elizabeth.

Dog training (9th lesson)

Missed out on last week's training as I was with Auntie Chris while Daddy went gallivanting off to Cardiff. This week, we did a lot of different commands which I have done before. I think I did OK. My treats are a good bribe! As well as Schmackos, I am getting James Wellbeloved MiniJacks - nice and crunchy.

An interesting day

Yesterday, we went to Tewkesbury to see Michael and Andrew who are on holiday there this week. We went to the Malverns and visited the Malvern Hills Hotel for lunch in between some walks. These are the great panoramic views from British Camp (or Herefordshire Beacon). After Choral Evensong in the Abbey, we went to this dog-friendly pub - Haw Bridge Inn and I got a great welcome. There's a BIG river there, but I couldn't get down to it (boo-hoo!). I had to wait until I got back to Tewkesbury.

Daddy's birthday

There are some positives and negatives to birthdays: +ve I get to go out for a pub lunch at the Blackbird in Bagnor (well, I don't get one, but I do sit in the pub garden and play in the river); -ve I stay inside back home in the evening and have to entertain myself while Daddy goes out. Ah well!

Geotagged photos

Daddy's been experimenting again with his new toy while I do something far more interesting - chewing a chew! Here is a link to a set of flickr photos taken on this morning's walk which are geotagged on a map: http://flickr.com/photos/53552176@N00/map/. I suppose this means something to somebody. Anyway, it keeps him quiet!

Gnashers again

My teeth have all fallen out! My first teeth that is. Here are the ones that Daddy has found.

Treats

Went to training tonight (8th lesson) and the trainers said my treats are not exciting enough! Yay! They recommended schmackos or chicken for my delicate stomach, so bring it on. I'm on the lookout for this packet. A tip for stopping me jumping up: stand on my lead!

FCRS Diamond Anniversary

I had an exciting day today. We went to the Flatcoated Retriever Society Diamond Anniversary meeting at Wishaw. We have never seen so many of my breed before, never mind in one place. I just watched and tried to make friends with as many dogs as possible. I even met another Dexter my age - he was half a flatcoat. The best bit was when I was allowed to swim and retrieve a dummy from the fishing pond!

Pub

I walked to the pub last night! That was great fun and there were lots of people to meet. We had an interesting walk back in the dark.

The vet and my 7th lesson

Daddy saw the vet last week about treatment of ticks and to get some more worming tablets. I still had 2 ticks from the Lakes. Anyway, they have now gone, thanks to Frontline. He agreed with the exercise I was getting as well (3 times a day for half an hour to an hour). I am glad that is not too much - I do like taking Daddy for walks! I should also stay on my puppy food for another 2 or 3 months as I am still growing.

There were only four of us at training last week so we had close attention. I think I was really good at the 'stay' which I have not done much of.
